Where is stored the full-text index in zotero?

I am asking the question in order to identify the pdf files that are not indexed. I already have more than 700 pdf that cannot be indexed for some reasin. I
The next question will be: Is there a way to navigate or have a read access to the index directly or via a client application?
Any help would be appreciated because I am performing A discourse analysis research and must be fairly precise in my full-text search.
Thanks
Elias
  • There would be a .zotero-ft-cache file in each indexed attachment directory, though it might not be visible by default on your system. You'd be better off just finding an attachment that says "Indexed: No" in the right-hand pane.

If clicking the Reindex icon (the green arrows) for an unindex PDF fails to index it, provide a Debug ID for the attempt.
  • Thanks for the very very fast answer.
.zotero-ft-cache are visible in my system (winXP).
Now I have to find a way to submit a query in the storage directory in which my aim is find the directories WITHOUT a .zotero-ft-cache file.
I you have hint... but anyway Thanks a lot, and when I will get one, I will provide a Debug ID.
    Sincerely
  • Just browse through your Zotero library until you find an attachment that says "Indexed: No". You can expand all top-level items by selecting an item and press "+".
  • (Or open the PDF in the directory without .zotero-ft-cache and then search for that item in Zotero.)
  • I don't know If it really needs to provide a Debug ID because the 4 or 5 files that I have just found are all Pdf images where no text can be extracted. I have others that are not images I will provide a Debug Id.
    Thanks again
  • OK, that's fine. Usually this just works, so there's no particular reason to think it's broken.
