Basic android port
First I must say that Zotero has changed how I approach schoolwork. As one of the few people with actual nuero adhd, anything that allows me to collect, organize, and utilize information at the rate I process is a godsend. In studying the mechanics of adhd I found an interesting insight regarding hyperkinetics as a way to provide stimulation energy to enhance frontal lobe function. This was interesting because I often find myself becoming aware of solutions to problems while spinning fire or battling liquid dancers. I also have learned to walk around and spit like an mc when writing a paper and transcribing what had been recorded.
This had brought me to using my nexus 7 to highlight/annotate/record comments while walking around... what a revolution this has been for me. My laptops havent seen much use since other than to access notes stored there. With float n split keyboard and float notes, I dont want to go back. One thing it is missing though is Zotero. It doesnt need all the fanciness of the desktop version, but the ability to snapshot, highlight, annotate web pages is severely lacking in this operating system. Android intents makes shifting info between programs a snap so a dolphin or firefox plugin that sends them to a simple android app should be pretty simple. Also, with intents, my pdfs are backed up to google drive and dropbox as if they were just sd cards. Did I mention collaboration is an emergant feature rather than having to be explicitly coded?
While a full featured zotero would be sublime, a stripped down snapshotter, with highlighting/annotating and hopefully tagging would make learning for people who fidget seem bareable.
Once again, thank you.
