change publisher and place of publication

I want to change 'Oxford University Press' into 'OUP'. I have done this, but when I insert the bibliography into my paper, it still gives the unwanted version.
Is it not possible to manually change this information?

should work - are you sure you're looking at the same reference? Could there be a duplicate of the same one that you're modifying?

No, definitely not. I have a bibliography of 20 pages. In some cases it works, in most it doesn't. It just goes back to the version retrieved from Amazon. I can change the other fields, though, such as author and title. Have you ever tried doing it?

I'll have a look but I can't really see how/why this would be happening.
Try citing them in a new document for a test?
