Publisher field empty in middle column

In the right column for each citation, there is a field named "publication." Yet when you click on the drop down menu in the center column to toggle the field headings of the citation collection, the (presumably) corresponding field is named "publisher." When the "publisher" field is checked, it is blank for each citation (even though the "publication" fields all contain the correct source names in the right column).

these are two different fields: publication=journal title, i.e. journal of american history; publisher=publishing house, i.e. oxford university press.
