alternative use

I really like this tool for journal/book referencing and would like to extend my use of the database. I hoping to document architectural case studies through this program--it seems like a new category such as "case study" under the add reference with applicable sub-headings in the "Info" view would accomplish this quite nicely. Is there a way to customize the subject headings there? -or- to create a new type of reference category? I'm new at this -- so this may already be an option that I'm not finding right off.

    Why do none of the pre-existing types (such as 'Document') fit your needs? If you merely wish to keep this type of document separate from other types of documents, can you use collections or tags to denote the difference?
