Web of Science full text import

I know Zotero will automatically pull in a citation's full text PDF on some websites (like JSTOR), but it currently does not for ISI Web of Science. I don't know if it is even possible, but considering WOS is one of the main research sites for the life sciences (probably most of the sciences) community, I am sure many people would really appreciate this functionality. Thank you, and thank you for this terrific extension.

That is definitely not trivial. JSTOR puts PDFs in a predictable location. WoS does not store any PDFs themselves. Zotero would need to know how to locate a PDF at the journal's site for many different publishers. This would still be useful, of course.

A good first step might be to make sure that Zotero automatically downloaded PDFs from your set of most-used journals.

You mean I can select which journals I use most often and have Zotero download PDFs from them automatically via WoS, or just download automatically when I visit the actual journal site?

Either way, how do I set this up? I think the auto-download of PDFs is one of the greatest features of this extension and really want to take full advantage of it. Thank you.
  • There is nothing to setup--there is only testing to do. Zotero can already download PDFs from some publishers. I mean that you should visit the sites of journals that you use & see whether or not PDFs are downloaded. If they are not, you might see if the location of the journal is easily deduced & make a request that PDFs should be downloaded from that journal & provide the scheme to get the fulltext link if you've figured it out.
