Remember export format/method

I've just used Zotero for a fairly large project (a 32-page annotated syllabus, in fact). The format of the project required me to approach it as a series of smaller annotated bibliographies, 1 per week in a 15 week class, with the primary reading assignments treated separately from the "further reading" section.

As a result, I wound up using "Create Bibliography" a lot, two or three dozen times in the course of the project. The teacher wanted MLA format, and I preferred the "copy to clipboard" option instead of creating/opening/selecting/copying all those entries. It was irritating that I had to switch to MLA format from APA and tell it to copy to the clipboard every single time. A couple of times I forgot and accidentally exported to APA format, then had to do it again as MLA. Perhaps you could code it so that when the user selects an output format/method, it makes a note and defaults to those settings the next time? That would streamline the process considerably.

EDIT: By the way, your forum is broken. I'm using Firefox 2.0, and when I click the preview button it throws an error:

Error: document.getElementById("Content") has no properties

  • The last-used bibliography and export settings are remembered in Beta 3, available from the home page (or via Tools->Add-ons->Find Updates for those who installed from zotero.org and not addons.mozilla.org).
