Connected auther name when RTL

Hello,
When I insert a footnote in Hebrew (which is RTL) with the Chicago Manual of Style (full note) I get the author name backwords and connected. For example, say I wanted to put in a book by Karl Marx (in Hebrew of course) than I'd get:

MarxKarl, [...]
instead of:
Karl Marx, [...]

This means I have to go over every footnote I have in Hebrew and fix it..
Any idea how I can solve this?
  • A number of languages reverse names from little-endian order (English, Russian, Persian etc). Happily, we have so far been able to discriminate these by their scripts (Latin-1, Cyrillic, Arabic). It sounds like Hebrew should be added to that set.

If you can point to a page that provides a reliable list of Hebrew characters in Unicode, I can make the modification to the processor and post an immediate-update plugin. Otherwise it might be awhile before I get around to fetching the necessary information from the Internets. But this sounds like an easy issue, once we have that information to hand.
  • Thanks for your reply.
I wasn't quite sure what you meant but anyway see if these are ok:

  • That's the stuff. Try installing this plugin and see if you get better results.
  • It worked! Thanks a lot!
  • Thanks for reporting back, that's very good to hear.
