Blue horizontal bar and screen restart when hovering over Zotero citation in Libreoffice

When I hover over a Zotero 3.0.3 citation in Libreoffice Writer 3.5.3.2, a wide blue horizontal line appears (dark blue with a mid-blue line in the middle). Sometimes the X-server screen appears to restart.
I am pretty sure this behaviour isn't normal.
I am running Linux Mint 13, Kernel 3.2.0-23-generic, with Cinnamon desktop.

Thanks for reporting. That's a known issue: LO insist on displaying Reference Mark content as a tooltip and X-server breaks when the tooltips are too long. Not much Zotero can do about that, unfortunately (you may be able to turn off the tooltip in LO, though).

Happy to report that LibreOffice 3.6 Writer no longer has this problem.
The tooltips now appear in small boxes for a few seconds, and in any case they can be turned off in the Options.
