After upgrade to 3.0.8 Zotero Standalone doesn't work on Windows 2000

Subj. Just to let you know.

Update:

What I receive when I try to start Zotero is an error message reporting that it can't find entry point for IsWow64Process in Kernel32.dll.

That is what MSDN says about it:

"For compatibility with operating systems that do not support this function, call GetProcAddress to detect whether IsWow64Process is implemented in Kernel32.dll. If GetProcAddress succeeds, it is safe to call this function. Otherwise, WOW64 is not present. Note that this technique is not a reliable way to detect whether the operating system is a 64-bit version of Windows because the Kernel32.dll in current versions of 32-bit Windows also contains this function."

We were aware that this wouldn't work, although we didn't know exactly what would happen. Mozilla dropped support for Windows 2000 (and Windows XP <SP2) in Firefox 13. Since Zotero Standalone is based on the Mozilla platform, this also means that Zotero Standalone no longer works with Windows 2000.

Windows 2000 has not received security updates for the last two years, so using it puts your data at risk. However, if you need to, you can download Zotero 3.0.7.
