using ext2fsd to access the data directory

I've been using Zotero now for a couple of years on both windows and linux machines... it's great software!! Thanks to the devs and the community for all the effort that is going into making a first-rate citation manager!!!

I recently came across a system that was dual boot (win/mint) and shared a common data partition in ext3 format. The administrator had set up ext2fsd to mount the partition as a permanent mount point in the session manager. This way the registry was changed to statically mount the partition.
If I now try and move the zotero data directory onto the ext3 data partition though, nothing happens. I can move to anywhere on the windows system partition, as onto and removable drives, but it seems it won't accept to be mounted onto z:, the data partition.
Other programs on the system have no issues reading and writing their data to the Z-partition.

Does anybody have any idea what the issue could be? Anybody had a similar issue?

Thanks in advance!!
