Author-Date + Bibliography?

I writing a paper in which I need to use author-date in the text and produce a works cited list at the end. It looked APA was my bet for this, but when I place the cursor at the end of my paper, and select "Add Bibliography," something appears to happen, but no bibliography appears. I'm using Chrome and Mac OS, in case that's relevant to the discussion.

    Let's start with some basic troubleshooting:
    Which word processor? Do the citations insert in the document work?
    Can you replicate this issue in a fresh document (just one citation and bibliography)? Then, create an error ID right after trying "Insert Bibliography": http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs#provide_a_report_id
    and post it here.

    Word on Mac. Yes, the citations insert nicely. Okay, I followed your advice, created a new doc, inserted one citation, then asked it to generate a bibliography, and it worked! Brilliant advice. So I'll go see if pasting the essay I've written so far can be pasted into a new document and have the same effect.
