Chicago "no ibid" style also overrides Titles to sentence case

Background: On May 23 AndyMD asked: At this stage, the available citation styles for Chicago include "Fullnote with Bibliography", and "note without bibliography, no ibid". Is it at all possible to get a combo - "Fullnote with bibliography, no ibid"? Adamsmith responded On may 26 by adding a style to the repository. (Thankyou)

I installed the 'no ibid' style also, which worked to remove ibid, BUT had an unfortunate effect of also converting all titles back to sentence case - even though I had already checked the hidden preferences "capitalizeTitles" option was set to TRUE. See http://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/hidden_preferences

I played around to see if the language tag was causing a problem as it had with a recent upgrade, and I tried using "en", and also no entry in the database to see if it changed anything in my document - which it didn't. I also changed my style back to Chicago full, and the ibids returned, but Title Case was capitalized. Reverting to Chicago no ibid lost the ibids but Title case went back to sentence.

I'm hoping that someone can help with this discrepancy. Thank you.

I am using Word for Mac with the Zotero plugin, Zotero version 3.0.7.
  • The style doesn't convert to sentence case, but does fail to convert to title case (as it should). That change got lost in a recent revision of the style, I'll try to get to fixing that asap and let you know when it's done.
  • Three cheers! Thank you for the fix, and for relieving me of the dread of (potentially) having to manually change hundreds of citations.

I note from previous responses to problems and suggestions that there is always a quick response and proactive efforts to improve Zotero - an amazing thing to see in action.

    Thank you again!
