erroneous PDF metadata

Is anyone else having problems with PDFs that somehow pick up and enter erroneous metadata when you run that function? Out of about 30 I ran today, so far 2 of them came out *really* wrong -- not the same topic or journal or anything at all. Is there a known issue that needs fixing? Or is this just something that happens and you have to keep a sharp eye out?
  • the latter. Zotero guesses PDF metadata - first by trying to find a DOI and looking that up, then by trying to find the article on google scholar by searching for a phrase from the first page.
    Neither system is failsafe.

  • Could you let us know which two PDFs failed? Link to them online if possible
