Why is there url from Google books in APA?

Hi,

When I insert bibliography, I get google books links (retrieved from...) in APA style. Why is that so? Book is book and in APA, I don't need and don't want that. It makes no sense really. Book is book.

Is there some elegant way to avoid this? As it this, I edit it manually.
  • It's a bit tricky: If you actually consult the online version of a book, you probably should cite it as an online source and not a book - most citation styles don't agree with you that a book is a book.
You can remove the URL from the google book entry if you don't want that - if you don't consider it as part of the citation, it shouldn't be in the URL field (you can add it as a link instead to keep it around in case you want to revisit).
