Unwanted insertion of bibliography when inserting or editing citations
I've been using Zotero standalone all day with no problems until, within the last hour, it has suddenly started automatically inserting a bibliography every time I insert or modify a citation into my word document. It has never done this to me before and I have updated to the latest version/restarted both Zotero and MS Word with no success. I'm presuming that I've inadvertently pressed something but I have absolutely no idea what it is. Can anyone help?
EDIT
Interestingly, it inserts the bibliography at the same point each time. I believe that this is the point at which I inserted the first footnote that triggered the error. I have since deleted said footnote, but even when I add a different citation to the document in a different place it still adds the bibliography to the same paragraph as before (which is roughly half way through the document)

dstillmanYou likely inserted a bibliography at that point by mistake and then deleted it but didn't delete the complete field, so every time Zotero refreshes the document it's just rebuilding the bibliography. You'll need to delete the field completely.

dstillman(Unless Simon has another idea how this could happen, but that's the most likely explanation.)

adamsmithpressing alt+F9 (toggling fields visible) may help you see the invisible field that inserts the bibliography.

Mark WalmsleyThanks Dan, it looks like you were spot on. I used Adam's tip to locate the erroneous field and deleted it. It now works perfectly. Once again, I'm very impressed with the quality and speed of the help you guys give on these forums.
