switch language to english in zotero failed (again)

Firefox english
MS Word english

timezone Germany...
tried to switch with new standalone zatero to english

did also (like discribed in oter discussion topics):

about:config
general.useragent.locale;en-US
intl.locale.matchOS;false
(also i tried intl.locale.matchOS;true)

still i have german version!

then i tried the firefox estension to see if the extension in my english firefox browser is english.
failed - in german
also while trying to install the extension the message came "refer to existing library?" i canceled - then i tried to link my existing onlinelibrary to the firefox zatero extension - "translation error" - no link possible...

is this just a mad day? or what can i do?
