Series Number bug in several import filters

I'm finding that in several databases (which are otherwise supported pretty well) the Series Number doesn't get imported properly. I have this problem in all of the following:

- Library of Congress online catalogue
- ATLA via EBSCO
- World Cat via First Search

Is this something that could be fixed soon?
  • Bump. It'd be great to have these get imported automatically. In most contexts I need the series numbers when I cite.

The problem may be with non-standard cataloging, (I don't know the specs on series numbers). Still, I've looked at a few MARC records and there does seem to be enough regularity to be able to parse the line. Here are a few "series lines" from a few different MARC records:

    440 _0 |a Supplements to Vigiliae Christianae ; |v v. 64

    440 _0 |a Bibliotheca Ephemeridum theologicarum Lovaniensium ; |v 182

    440 0 |a Journal for the study of the New Testament. |p Supplement series ; |v 246

In each case (even the last one, which has three "fields"), the series number is the 'last string of digits in the line.' Could such a regex added to the importer(s)? It would be especially welcome now that the Chicago dev styles can output series numbers.
