Zotero Toolbar not appearing on Word 2008

I have followed the installation instructions here (http://www.zotero.org/support/installation), and yet I still cannot get the zotero toolbar to appear on my microsoft 2008 word. I even tried re-installing through Firefox 11.0, which seems to have the zotero citation toolbar working appropriately. Any suggestions to get zotero to appear on my microsoft word? Of note, I am running OS X 10.6.8.
