Edit history / retaining of information

In Zotero Groups, we have noticed that "added by" information only registers the last person modifying an entry; the reference to the user who has originally uploaded the entry seems to disappear. Is there no function in Zotero to see the "history" of an entry?

    There is no such feature. I do not know if Zotero server stores this, though.

    I would also think that if this info is stored, exposing it to user interface would be nice. (And in the server API too.)

    We store the adding user and the editing user. I believe the former should be reliable, and that's what we display in the Added By column—if you're seeing that change, let us know, since that shouldn't happen.

    The editing user isn't particularly reliable at the moment, which is why it's not displayed or provided via the API. Once we make sure it's more reliable, we'll display that as well (and probably make it available to the Zotero client).
