Can't display item's collection(s)

According to this page selecting an item and holding down the Option key (on OS X) should "highlight all the collections that contain the item." I can't get this to work on Zotero Standalone running on my iMac with Lion and an Apple USB keyboard.

Is this a problem with the Standalone version, or should I post this note under some other category?

I don't think we've ever seen this not work. You're sure you're testing this correctly? If you're in My Library and drag an item to a collection, and then—still in My Library—press and hold Option, the collection on the left that you dragged the item to isn't highlighted in yellow?
