Spaces in author name and BibTeX

On exporting to BibTeX and then using in LyX I have a problem with author names that have spaces. E.g. as author I have "International Standards Organization". That is exported as:
author: {International Standards Organization},
Then when cyting I get in the references list "I.S. Organization" which looks a bit silly. When I manually change the BibTeX entry to:
author: {{International Standards Organization}},
I get the correct entry in the refs list.
What am I to do to get this right automatically????

I use Zotero stand alone 3.0.3, LyX 2.0.2 (document class elsarticle), Ubuntu 12.04 on AMD64.

    authors in single field mode in Zotero (click on the white square to the right of the author) should get enclosed in curly brackets in bibtex output.
    If you got the data from a translator (as opposed to entering it manually) I'd be curious where so we can fix the import.
