Issue is missing in the SPIE JBO citation style

The current version of the citation style (from http://www.zotero.org/styles) for the "Journal of Biomedical Optics" suppresses the issue number in the references.
JBO wants to have it in brackets right after the volume number, i.e. like this: Opt. Express 15(25)

here a open acces article as an example

Is this behavior intended?
  • it's intended by the person who coded the style, but looks like it's incorrect - I'll try to fix that soon-ish, will let you know when I get to it.
  • I just received an email from the company which makes the typographic work for JBO. They indeed wanted to have all the issue numbers. I manually compiled a list of issues. This, of course, is in conflict with the idea of an automatically generated reference list.

I hope you will be able to fix it, Adam.
  • it's not a question of if - just a question of when.

This also seems to happening for the Bioinformatics citation style at http://www.zotero.org/styles/bioinformatics
Correction -- I've just had another look at the instructions for authors at http://www.oxfordjournals.org/our_journals/bioinformatics/for_authors/general.html
Apparently, issue number is not required.
  • this is now done for JBO (and all other SPIE journals).
