Word plugin: firefox freezes when trying to access options on the extension page
I've tried downloading the word plugin several times, but when I click on the options button under the add-on, firefox will freeze completely. I've upgraded my version of both firefox and zotero. I've unistalled the plug-in and tried from the start, but run into this problem each time. Any suggestions?

I restarted my computer and the options now display, so it seems to be working now.
When I go to the add-ons screen and click "options" for Zotero, Firefox is unresponsive except for the annoying "beep" as if you have another window open somewhere and are clicking outside of it. Trust me I've searched high and low for this options window and it ain't there! Killing the Firefox process is the only way out...
My system specs are:
Win7 64
Firefox 20.0.1
Word 2007 (12.0.4518.1014)
Zotero Word for Windows Integration 2.1.12
Any help, please?!
Make sure you have the latest version from http://zotero.org/download ,currently 4.0.4
Everything is latest as I just installed this morning. I would note that I had installed the Firefox add-in for Word Integration before I had installed the Standalone app but have uninstalled and re-installed the add-on several times since.
I get no Zotero icons or functionality in Firefox but I do get the toolbar in Word?
Thanks Adam
Also make sure you have the 4.0.4 version of the add-on in Firefox - with that, you should get icons in Firefox, e.g. URL bar icon here:

I don't know what you mean about the 4.0.4 version of add-on, it says that version 2.1.12 should work with 4.0.4?
Thanks Adam...
I would add that it really isn't completely obvious from the site, even to a computer professional, that you need to install Zotero main app, Zotero plug-in, and then an additional Zotero for Word plugin...
At least it wasn't for me, but that's just my $0.02...
But it's a great product!
So you have Zotero 4.0.4 Standalone that much I get.
But do you have the Zotero Firefox add-on installed (not the word processor plugin - the regular add-on? If so, what version?
And when you say you can't access Zotero Standalone Preferences, what do you mean exactly? If you click on the gears menu and then on preferences they don't open?
(FWIW - I assumed this was a typo, but you'll need the 3.1.12 version of the Zotero for Word plugin)
We try our best to convey that and zotero.org/download - if you have any recommendations we can see what we can do.
Note though, that you do _not_ need the Standalone app when you're using Firefox. You _can_ use it (and you'll also need the FF add-on if you do), but you get the same functionality with the FF add-on only.
Also, if you install the Standalone app, you do _not_ need to download the word plugin separately - that comes included.
Thanks again Adam.
Really not complaining as it was my fault- just might make a great site slightly better!
