Large Numbers Appear Buggy in PDF Indexing Options
Error report ID: 250554420
if I put strings of more than 9 9's into "Maximum Characters to index per file" or "Maximum pages to index per file" I find the number is converted to a different large integer, or even a negative number when I press OK and re-open preferences. If input enough 9s the number is converted to scientific notation before my eyes in real-time(!)

SimonI guess we should add guards against overflow here, but 999,999,999 characters is >100,000 pages of text.

adamgoldingYes, it's not that a larger number is needed, is that people naturally just hold the '9' key down until the field stops them in some cases, and in this case it looks like doing this would produce unexpected behavior :-)
