Patent referencing in bibliography

Hi. I’m having trouble with the bibliography entries for patents using the Harvard system. Tested it with APA - same problem. Below are examples of what they should look like (acc to http://libguides.is.uwa.edu.au/content.php?pid=43218&sid=381007)

E.g. - Patent: Cookson, AH 1985, Particle trap for compressed gas insulated transmission systems, US Patent 4554399.

E.g. - Patent from database: Mccallum, JM (2008). Method for and composition of excipient suitable for use in herbal formulations and formulations derived therefrom, Australian Patent AU 2008100919. Available from: SciFinder Scholar. [8 December 2008].

Instead, they look like this example below. Reference in text is fine (McCue et al. 1992) but no mention of patent number or country of issue (crucial when trying to find patents). You wouldn’t even know it was a patent! Any ideas?

McCue, G. et al., 1992. Method and apparatus for making a painting screen using an ink jet printer for printing a graphic on the screen emulsion. Available at: http://www.google.com/patents?id=sAwcAAAAEBAJ&pg=PA10&dq=McCue&hl=en&ei=gwP4TfPeFZDmvQPNwtSDDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=8&ved=0CD0Q6AEwBzge#v=onepage&q&f=false.
  • Zotero currently maps only some very few fields from patents, making correct patent references all but impossible and I don't really feel like investing a lot of time in half-baked solutions. This should improve in Zotero 3.5.
