Short title

Just a short question.

I guess it depends on the style one chooses, but anyway...

Is this field meant to submit the title of a reference when there is the presence of a subtitle? Otherwise, should it be submitted anyway?

    Generally, yes. It's used almost exclusively in note-based styles like Chicago Manual of Style, where references are given in footnotes. These styles often require/suggest to use a shortened version of the title after its first citation. Typically, but not necessarily, that will be the title without its subtitle.
    Those styles fall back to the title field when there is no short title, so there is no need to fill the short title field when it's going to be equivalent to the full title.

    Hi, I did add short titles but they are not shown in my word-doc. Rather, there are other short titles created automatically. How can I have Zotero using the short-titles I've added?
