disappearance of autocapture

Zotero was working fine for me until I had Firefox import preferences and bookmarks from Safari, which I was previously using as a default web browser on my Mac. Now I never get the little blue book icon in the address-bar, when I am at amazon, the New York Times, or wherever. Other features seem to work okay.

I am using the most current versions of both Firefox and Zotero, I believe.
  • Note that I've just tried JSTOR and I also get no option to autocapture when viewing pdf article there.
  • Also, I did activate Sage for managing rss feeds; does that conflict with Zotero somehow?
  • Try disabling all other extensions to see if there's a conflict. If that works, enable them one by one until you find the conflicting extension.
  • Sad to say I'm a Firefox newbie; how does one disable active extensions?
  • Figured it out. It's Sage, which stinks because Firefox 2.0's rss capabilities leave a lot to be desired on their own.
  • Tools->Add-ons, right-click an extension, Disable.

    We'll take a look at Sage to see what's going on there.
  • Did you try restarting Firefox after installing Sage? Zotero auto-capture seems to stop working for me when I first install Sage, but after restarting Firefox it works fine with both installed.
  • Very odd -- working fine now. Maybe the restart -- or the reinstall of Sage -- did it?

    Cancel red alert, I suppose.
