Style Request: Journal of Archaeological Research
Hi, I need a citation style for the "Journal of Archaeological Research" if anyone would be able to create one.
The website provides the guidelines below. The website for the journal is here: http://www.springer.com/social+sciences/archaeology+&+anthropology/journal/10814
You can open up a journal article, and see how they did their references cited. Note that journal volume # is formatted bold. See here, scroll to references cited: http://www.springerlink.com/content/0874243856664259/fulltext.html
Following the following guidelines:
List references alphabetically at the end of the paper in a section entitled References Cited and refer to
them in the text by name and year in parentheses. Where there are three or more authors, only the first
author's name is given in the text, followed by et al. References should include (in this order): last
names and initials of all authors, year published, title of article, name of publication, volume number,
and inclusive pages. The style and punctuation of the references should conform to that used in the
journal — illustrated by the following examples:
Journal Article
Andrews, A. P. (1993). Late Postclassic lowland Maya archaeology. Journal of World Prehistory 7:
35−−69.
Book
Sinopoli, C. M. (1991). Approaches to Archaeological Ceramics, Plenum Press, New York.
Contribution to a Book
O'Connell, J. F., Hawkes, K., and Jones, N. B. (1991). Distribution of refuse−producing activities at
Hadza residential base camps: Implications for analyses of archaeological site structure. In Kroll, E.
M., and Price, T. D. (eds.), The Interpretation of Archaeological Spatial Patterning, Plenum Press,
New York, pp. 61−−76.
After References Cited, include a separate section entitled Bibliography of Recent Literature.
Bibliography entries should not be cited in the text (and therefore not appear in the References Cited).
List entries alphabetically, and follow the same style as the examples above.
Thanks!

https://github.com/citation-style-language/styles/wiki/Requesting-Styles
or the Journal of Social Archaeology http://www.zotero.org/styles/journal-of-social-archaeology which conforms better, with having the year after the author, in parentheses (see example below of how to change from this style)
This is the proper format for J.A.R. format requested, note use of bold for journal volume #, the addition of a period to (eds) --> (eds.), and the use of pp. before page numbers:
Smith, M. E. (2004). The archaeology of ancient state economies. Annual Review of Anthropology 33: 73–102.
Smith, M. E., and Berdan, F. F. (2003). Spatial structure of the Mesoamerican world system. In Smith, M. E., and Berdan, F. F. (eds.), The Postclassic Mesoamerican World, University of Utah Press, Salt Lake City, pp. 21–31.
