How to prevent case-changes of foreign titles in footnotes?

I'm not really sure whether this problem has been already discussed, at least I couldn't find anything related to this via forum search.

The problem that's bothering me, is: I work a lot with German, French and Russian secondary literature, even when I write papers in English. The problem is that when I have my browser language switched to English, Zotero is automatically putting all titles in my footnotes into "English Title-Case", no matter what. Is there a possibility to turn this off? Obviously, German or Russian titles should not be subject to title-case even in an English, CMA-compliant paper. To prevent this automatic format, the only way to go for me right now is to switch my browser language back to German, but then all the things like "ed. by" are in German too, so when I write an English text, I have to fix them all by hand - or if I stick with English as browser language, I have to de-capitalise all non-English titles. Both ways are not really solutions.

I would be really helpful for any advice.
  • put ISO two-letter language codes into the language fields of non English sources in Zotero (fr for French, de for German, ru for Russian etc.) That de-activates automatic title casing.
  • Now that was really quick. Thanks a lot!
