Zotero for Firefox with Google Books - screen capture doesn't work
I'm wondering if anyone has a solution to my screenshot issue. I'm using Firefox 10.0.2 with Zotero 3.0.3 for Firefox on a Mac.
So, Here are the steps for an example of the issue:
1) Go to Google Books (books.google.com) in Firefox.
2) Then find a book on Google Books, let's use:
"Dreams from my father: a story of race and inheritance"
3) Add the book to Zotero
4) Then using the Google Books search box on the left side of
the web page, search for "Hawaii"
5) The web page shows several "hits" within the book. Click on
one of the "hits" and that page will load.
6) Then I select Zotero's "Attach Snapshot of current page" option.
7) Now click on the snapshot in Zotero -- you'll see that only the cover of the book was captured, not the page you loaded.
I can see that since the book loading is probably handled by Javascript, the "snapshot" may not "see" the actual page that's loaded, but I'm wondering if there's a way around this?
