Suppres year, not just suppress author

Is it possible to exclude the year when inserting a reference, but still have the author names be extracted manually from Zotero? Right now if I need to write something like "As Smith and colleagues (2009) have shown, ..", I type the names manually (and often make typos!), then insert a citation with suppresed author names. It would be good if one could just insert the author names as a citation (Word field), and supress the year, rather than this just being possible the other way around.

    No, and unlikely to happen. Search the forum for multiple lengthy discussions of the rational behind the current model.
