"store copy of file" downloaded from FF disables (not responding) Zotero standalone

I have tried a couple of times to store a copy of a pdf file downloaded from FF 10.0.2. to zotero standalone. A finder window opens for me to select the pdf file, but I never get further than that. From this point, the application hangs and Zotero stops responding and must be forced to quit.

This seems to be only one of many issues that have recently cropped up between zotero, firefox and my mac (although safari is not better). While trying to log in to this discussion group, I opened a password storage program called OnePassword to autofill the user name and password options on Zotero. This did not work either although it has in the past, so I filled them in manually.

And then -- just now while trying to preview this post before "starting discussion," FF hung again! I had to restart FF before sending this on.

I am on a MacBook Pro 10.7.3 and use Mac OS 10.7.3.

The beginning of the error record generated by the mac is below.I had to cut off the last 100 pages (or so) in order to be permitted to post.

With many thanks!
Amy

  • It sounds like you have a more general problem on your computer. The website and 1Password and Firefox are pretty much unrelated to Zotero Standalone. You might want to check your disk for errors.

But just as thing to try, quit all your programs, restart your computer, and try again in Standalone, before opening anything else up.
