PDF download

Seems many of our subscriber only medical journal websites don't have an 'auto' link with Zotero. Any tips for rapidly getting a downloaded PDF into Zotero, including its citation. My database of just citations is already 12mb, should I link to PDFs or put them in the database?

    well my preference is to put the pdf in the database and save a snapshot of the page that the pdf came from.
