Confused about i18n

Hi,

I read some postings about locale and language settings. It is a little confusing here, there are different topics:

- import/ export i18n problems
- Style/ CSL i18n problems
- UI i18n problems

I am struggling to get my citations and indexes in Openoffice (using the Zotero extension) generated properly. I get "and" and "Last visited" in my german document.

How do I modify the language of the generated output? Do I have to manually edit the CSL file? I am using the Harward one. Openoffice and FF are english, document local property is german. I changed the about:config export locale, nothing happened.

It would be great to have a little i18n article...

brgds.

  • If you're using an English build of Firefox and want your bibliography to use the German locale, set extensions.zotero.export.bibliographyLocale to de-DE. There might be some glitches in the current German locale, which you're welcome to help fix by joining BabelZilla as explained on that thread.

I have changed that. The exported items and the generated index in Openoffice are still in english. Is this a style issue?
  • "Last visited" isn't a string anywhere in Zotero. If you're seeing that, it's coming from somewhere else (e.g., the metadata of a record).
