How to sync "linked" attachments in a local folder to a different computer

I've just started using a new laptop (Mac) and am trying to sync my Zotero library in my desktop (PC). In the process, I realized that I've been saving all the attachments in a local folder (somewhere in C:, not under Zotero's storage folder) through Zotfile and that everything is "linked", not attached to the library.

So far, I've tried syncing online (I bought storage on Zotero), but only the library data are getting synced, not the attachments. Is there a way I can sync the attachments to my new Mac? How can I copy, move and redirect the local folder?

    No, linked attachments aren't synced (because Zotero isn't going to start modifying files on your system outside of its own directory, which it can vouch for).

    If you store files outside of the Zotero folder you need to handle syncing those yourself.
