Window location/level/type OpenOffice plugin

Thanks for a great tool. The following is more a feature request regarding convenience of use.

When I click on the Insert Citation button in Open Office Zotero Plugin, then it opens a "Quick Format Citation" window always in the middle of my screen and BEHIND my OpenOffice window, requiring me to select window in taskbar to bring it to the front.

Also, sometimes, I use many multi-citation references or references requiring pre- or postfixes, and it is annoying to always have to switch from QuickFormat to Classic for every single reference.

Desired behaviour:
1. Open Quick Format Citation window (or classic view) in front of OpenOffice Window
2. Remember last position of Citation Window - if I move it to the top or bottom of my screen to not obscure my text, it should reopen there rather than in the centre again (Centre position is fine as a default)
3. Remember whether "Quick Format Citation" or "Classic view" was used last, and reopen the same type of window. This implies a button to go back from Classic to QuickFormat view (short of Cancel, Insert citation)

(Versions used: Zotero Standalone 3.0b3.1 Zotero LibreOffice Integration 3.5b2 OpenOffice 3.1.1 OOO310m19 Fedora 12 Kernel 2.6.32.26-175.fc12.x86_64)

Zotero Standalone 3.0 and later should bring the Quick Format window to the front.

You can add prefixes and suffixes to citations in the Quick Format window by clicking on them (or pressing Control+Down Arrow).
  • Thanks for the quick comment and pointing out the functionality of clicking on the citation to add pre- and suffixes

With regards to appearing behind the OpenOffice window this most definitely occurred for me. Experimenting, I turned off Focus-follows-mouse (in GNOME) and it worked as you described with the Quick Format window in front.
I then turn Focus-follows-mouse on again, and it still works! Weird, but it fixed my problem.
  • By 3.0 and later I mean 3.0 final and later (current version is 3.0.2). If the versions in your comment above are correct, you're still on 3.0b3.1.
  • I just realised that my Zotero Standalone just did an auto-update prior to my second post, so nothing to do with Window-Focus setting.

Sorry for adding confusion and thanks for your help.
