Saving the document bibligraphy as text
Hi,
When I write documents for publication - like a thesis or an artice - I eventually come to a point where I want to copy the list of references I have used and paste it into a separate document for further editing where the references are not linked to the bibliography database in Zotero. In principle that means to deactivate the field codes. This option is available in for instance Endnote but not in Zotero. It is very useful when finalising a large document - the risk for pressing the update button and then lose a lot of work is reduced to zero. Besides, it is easier for, say. a journal editor to accept the document and use it in their templates.
There is a way around it: copy the reference list, then paste it into a different word document as a word document-object. Whenever that text is double-clicked, a mirror file is opened where I can edit the reference list. I find this rather tedious. The option should be available directly in word - for instance through an icon. Could that be done? Any other suggestions?
