HOW TO OPEN METADATA OF THE FILE ON MAC OS

hi, I tried to open up metadata of pdf article on mac, but always failed. Like in windows, I had clicked the right button of the mouse but it didn't work. Any solution to solve this problem? thanks in advance

    I take it you're asking about using the "Retrieve Metadata from PDF" function, correct? That works exactly the same way on all systems.
    How exactly did it not work? Can you point to a pdf it's not working for?
  • yes, correctly. that's what I meant.

    I have pointed to a pdf file and then clicked it using the right corner of the trackpad (as commonly instructed for Mac user) but the metadata is not retriavable. If I clicked it, what I had was just the open file. Do I have to use different ways of retrieving it? Let me know if you have further alternatives.
  • This doesn't sound like a Zotero question—it just sounds like you're not totally sure how to right-click on a Mac. Whether you can do it on the trackpad alone depends on your trackpad settings. Otherwise, use Control-click.
  • Since I am a new user of Zotero, I haven't been familiar with it, including how Mac's feature may support this application. But, thanks for the suggestion that helps me out.
