Opening attached file of citation during wordprocessing

It would be nice if double clicking (or ctrl+click or whatever), a citation in a Word file would bring up the attached file (most likely a PDF) under that entry. It would be even nicer if the viewer app (Adobe reader for example) automatically turns to the cited page (or the first page of a page range) upon running.
  • have a look at the zotero quick look plugin

works for the classic view - haven't tried it yet in the new dialog, but I think it's supposed to work there, too.

ZoteroQuickLook 1.3 can open PDFs from citations like you describe. Position the cursor on a citation and press ctrl + alt + q This feature is implemented for the Mac only for now. (A developer who knows how to code Word plugins in Windows or Open Office plugin could easily implement this for these software as well.)

Also, it works for the new dialog as well. The keyboard shortcut is cmd + y on Mac. On windows it is probably ctrl +y if I remember correctly.
