How to get an "editor" into coins/html format

Hallo,

I'm trying to create COinS for my webpage, so that other people can easily save the references of my webpage's documents with Zotero.

Now I run into the problem that it is obviously not possible to add "Editors" to html. source code with COinS, since there is no tag for editors.

My question now is:
1. Maybe there is a tag for editors that I don't know of?
2: Since I'm note a IT person, what would be an easy way to implement such an Icon in the address bar in the browser, so that the whole reference could be saved by Zotero including Editors, by simply clicking on this icon (e.g. Book)?

P.S.: The way to simply copy (Ctrl+alt+C) the reference form the Zotero library and paste it into Notepad and then use the generated html. and insert it in my source code is really easy and preferable.

Thanks very much in advance
Best wishes
Daniel
  • 1. no, that's one of the limitations of COinS - nothing to be done.
    2. http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/exposing_metadata has all the different methods. Nothing is comparably easy to COinS, unfortunately.
  • Thanks for your reply,

do you think it is possible that you send me a link to a webpage, where "editors" are included into the metadata. I tried to find one, but obviously more people than one would think are using COinS. This way I could have a look at the source code, and try and error with my html text. I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks
    Daniel
  • I don't know of any off the top of my head. Most have dedicated translators. That could well be the easiest way. Alternatively, look at unAPI, as implemented, e.g. by http://inspirehep.net
