Zotero installation not completing

Running the latest version of FF, trying to install Zotero 1.0.3 on Vista Ultimate 32 bit. After restarting FF (even rebooting), the Add-ons window still stays of Zotero, "This add-on will be installed when Firefox is restarted". No amount of restarting will help. I have tried installing via the Mozilla site, your site and also saving the extension and dragging into the FF window all with this same result.
