Unable to synch files

I started having problems synching file attachments several months ago, and finally gave up and unchecked the "Synch attachment files in my library..." box. After that the references, at least, would synch across computers. However, I'm in the process of writing a journal article and find that having the attachments would be a great help, especially when I do not have internet access on my laptop. Unfortunately, after trying for 3 hours twice the little synch wheel keeps spinning and no progress. Stopped Firefox the first time and restarted, second time - no change. Any way to get the attachments synched again? I'm willing to only run Firefox on a single flash drive if that will help.

Do you see the blue file sync progress bar? If so, you can hover over it to view progress. If not, what does it say when you hover over the sync icon?
