zotero's tab in every new window

Hi there,

when selecting tab mode in zotero-2.1.10 (using firefox-9.0.1 under Fedora 14) as the default mode, I get a zotero pinned tab in every new window.

I have it with pop-ups, when I start firefox, and when I open a new window.

Is this intended or is it a bug? (If intended, wouldn't it be possible to show an option in the preferences to disable this?)
