Optional 'ibid'

I was wondering if it would be possible to use a complete citation when a source is repeated rather than the automatic ibid. A professor in one of my classes this semester had mentioned that it was becoming less common to use ibid and she preferred we didn't.

    This depends on the citation style that you use. For example APA style does not use ibid.

    There are also, for Chicago Manual of Styles - a couple of versions without ibid on the repository, marked with -no ibid.
