Bug: black stripe stays around

if one has created an entry, then attached a file from the filesystem,
then later on deleted the filesystem file OUTSIDE of zotero, then the entry attachment points to a non-existent file (normal up to here).

When hovering the mouse over any entry/attachment, there's a black
stripe showing, with the full-length entry/attachment showing.
After a few seconds the stripe goes away. (normal)

If you double click on the attachment (which doesn't exist in the filesystem anymore) it brings up another window to locate the missing attachment.

There seems to be something wrong with the pop-up of the new Locate
window and the independent black-stripe above, if you click fast enough right before/after the black stripe appears.
The problem is that the black stripe stays around and doesn't vanish after a few seconds, as is normal.

This doesn't always happen, the timing of the double click has to
be very close to the time when the hover over the entry is enough to trigger the black stripe appearing... race perhaps...
Thanks,
a.

No idea what you mean by a "black stripe". A tooltip? Can you post a screenshot somewhere and provide a link?

It's the stripe that reveals the whole filename when it's too long to fit in the middle pane.
  • OK, that's a "tooltip". Those are handled by Mozilla code, so there's a decent chance that's not something we can address. I've seen that happen in Firefox as well (when switching away from Firefox at the same time as a tooltip appears on a bookmark toolbar button). It's usually pretty trivial to get it to go away.
