Style Errors: National Library of Medicine
Hello,
I would like to report 2 errors in the NLM style available from the Zotero Styles Repository (http://zotero.org/styles). I have experienced these errors across multiple citations, not just the sample ones I've provided here.
Thanks for your help!
Sarah
1. For an online journal article, the media type designation [Internet] should display after the journal title. Yet as in the example below, the media type displays before the journal title.
Sample Error:
Robinson TN. Reducing children’s television viewing to prevent obesity: a randomized controlled trial. [Internet]. JAMA : the journal of the American Medical Association 1999 Oct;282(16):1561-7.[cited 2011 Dec 27] Available from: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10546696
Documentation: NLM Citation Style - Journals
2. Also for an online journal article, there is no period after the journal title. (Ideally, the period goes after the brackets for the media type, e.g. JAMA [Internet].)
Sample Error:
Donnelly JE, Jacobsen DJ, Whatley JE, Hill JO, Swift LL, Cherrington A, Polk B, Tran ZV, Reed G. Nutrition and physical activity program to attenuate obesity and promote physical and metabolic fitness in elementary school children. [Internet]. Obesity research 1996 May;4(3):229-43.[cited 2011 Dec 12] Available from: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8732957
Documentation is the same as above.

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Before commenting here, you should strongly consider starting a new discussion instead. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.
If they're not let me know and I'll see about fixing NLM.
Best,
Sarah
edit: done for grants, too.
