OpenOffice Zotero Integration won't work in Linux
I am unable to get Zotero Open Office Integration plugin working in Open Office. Specs are:
Ubuntu 10.04
Firefox 8.0
OpenOffice 3.2.0
Zotero Office integration 3.5b3
Zotero 2.1.10
I am using Java from Sun, so that shouldn't be a problem.
I have no problem installing the Integration plugin on FF. However, while adding Zotero_OpenOffice_Integration.oxt via OO's extension manager, I get the following error:
`Add Extension(s): /file/to/path/Zotero_OpenOffice_Integration.oxt/types.rdb does not exist`.
I have no idea whether this is a problem with the Integration plugin or with OO. I intended to test whether other extensions work in OO, but the OO extension site (extensions.services.openoffice.org) is down.
TIA.

adamsmithwhy are you adding the extension to Ooo manually? That shouldn't be necessary.
-
khauser130dBecause it doesn't seem to work automatically:no toolbar.
-
adamsmiththere has been no end of grief with the 3.2 Ooo version - I'd just switch over to Libre Office - that's gotta be in the 10.04 repo by now, no? - or at least Ooo 3.3 (but really - switch over to Libre Office - Open Office is effectively dead.)
-
khauser130dOk done. Now using LibreOffice.
-
adamsmithand do can you install and use the toolbar now or do we need to keep troubleshooting?
-
khauser130dWith LibreOffice I now have the toolbar. Thanks.
