Importing citations from someone else's Zotero library?

I assumed this would be possible, but having just been on my friends public library, no icon appears for download, and I can see nothing on the page about doing it. I might just be being slow - is it possible? If not, it definitely should be...

I'm using the new standalone with the Chrome connector, both up to date.

no, not currently - it used to be, but broke with the new fancy online library lay-out - I agree, we should make that work again. (I also believe there is an export option planned that would allow export in some standard bibliographic formats.
