import problems with "Umlaute"

I've posted this here before, but didn't get much feedback (see: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/2039/import-from-endnote-umlaute/#Item_3)

When importing my endnote6 libarary German "Umlaute" (öäü) are not recognized. This is independent of the format I use for exporting my library in endnote, particularly it also happens with BibTex, mentionioned in previous post as a possible solution.

I wonder if I need to change some setting in Firefox perhaps, although it (generally, but with very few exceptions) displays websites with Umlaute correctly

Gitty K, could you post a sample file (e.g. in RIS format) with a few records, as you've exported them from Endnote? This might help to debug your issue.
